Kudos! Awards & Recognition
- Jose Sepulveda, an associate professor in the Industrial Engineering and Management Systems Department of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, has been named a Hispanic Luminary by Great Minds in STEM. The organization was previously known as the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC). The award recognizes professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) who are leading, collaborating and initiating key programs and research within their respective organizations.
- Marybeth Thompson, an administrative assistant for the Institute for Simulation & Training, has been named the USPS Employee of the Month for July. Her co-workers state that "Marybeth basically anticipates what is needed, sets it up in a very efficient and skilled way, and makes it all look easy. It isn’t.” In addition to a Barnes & Noble gift card, introduction to the UCF Board of Trustees and other prizes, Thompson is eligible for the USPS Employee of the Year Award.
