About Us

News & Information is the primary media and public relations office for the University of Central Florida. The office’s primary mission is to enhance and protect UCF’s reputation. The university’s reputation is what attracts students, faculty and staff members, business partners and donors.

News & Information supports the university’s goals by working together with colleges, divisions and partners across UCF to implement strategic communications initiatives. Specifically, News & Information develops plans to share the positive, unique and exciting success stories from across the university.

The office also advises administrators, faculty and staff on policy issues that might affect the public perception of the institution. As part of our mission, we are committed to honestly representing the university in all areas in accordance with UCF’s values of integrity, scholarship, community, creativity and excellence.

News and Information also provides content for this Web site.

Along with UCF Television Services, News and Information maintains an archive of broadcast-quality video, slides and digital photos of the campus and campus events. The images are available for any university publication or video production, as well as for use by external agencies. Television Services also produces videos for external presentation, as well as long-form programs and other materials for the UCF TV Channel.

News & Information has a dedicated line for media working on breaking news or after hours. To reach staff immediately during these situations, media must call 407.823.5300.
