Gillian Sorensen, a senior adviser for the United Nations Foundation and a former U.N. assistant secretary-general, will speak Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the University of Central Florida.
Sorensen will give a presentation entitled “Seeing Beyond Borders: Developing a World View” at 3 p.m. in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Sorensen is now a senior adviser to the United Nations Foundation. She continues to address the world’s most pressing problems as she works to broaden U.N. support through advocacy, education and public outreach.
In her presentations, she explores the issues that populate the headlines, including foreign policy, humanitarian relief, global public health, human rights and regions of conflict.
