UCF Joins Likes of Harvard, Columbia in Attracting Students from 'Across the Pond'
By UCF Staff Nov. 20, 2009
A British newspaper reported this week that a record number of students are coming to the United States for college -- with the University of Central Florida as a top destination.
UCF makes the list, according to a study published by the U.S.-based Institute of International Education, alongside Harvard, New York University, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania.
London’s “The Daily Telegraph” reports that both the Fulbright Program, which UCF participates in, and improved world opinion of the United States are key contributors to the surge in international students at U.S. schools.
Florida is behind California, New York, Texas and Massachusetts in the number of international students it hosts.
