UCF's Executive Development Center recently moved from its main campus location to the Ying Academic Center on Pine Street in downtown Orlando.
UCF President John Hitt will be the keynote speaker at a luncheon at the new downtown location of the UCF Executive Development Center (EDC) on Thursday, June 5 at 1 p.m. The Executive Development Center recently relocated from the main UCF Campus to the Ying Academic Center at 36 W. Pine St. to better serve the Central Florida business community.
Hitt’s presentation, “UCF Stands for Opportunity,” will address some of the benefits of the relocation.
“This move supports our university and mission of providing services that enhance the intellectual, cultural and economic development of Central Florida,” he said.
The Executive Development Center will remain part of the College of Business Administration, but the new location enables the center to expand programs and work closely with businesses downtown. The center offers a full range of executive and professional master’s programs, including the Executive MBA, the Professional MBA, the Professional Master of Science in Information Systems and the Professional Master of Science in Management. In addition, the center offers professional workshops.
"Relocating the Executive Development Center downtown strengthens UCF's presence in the business community and enables us to support our existing partnerships, as well as establish new ones," said Thomas L. Keon, dean of the UCF College of Business Administration.
